After living in peace and quiet for many years on the distant planet Valaria, Questar and his people are forced into war. The power in their step-crystal tore open a hole in time, and sent them back to the prehistoric earth, unaware that the evil leader Krulos at the same time plans to, with the help of his grotesque forces, steal the step-crystal. This is the story of the moment of truth, in another time, with Dino Riders, Dino Ryttarna.

Apparently, with the exception of "Thanksgiving" episode, Valoria is referred to as "Valaria" in the Swedish Cartoons.  "Dino Ryttarna" means "The Dino Riders."
